"Just back from this beautiful property set in the hills of Emilio Romagna, only an hour from the busy town of Bologna. If you want a place to stay to get away from the stress of everyday life this is the place to come to. The house is beautifully furnished with tasteful decor reflecting the old stone walls. The owner Lisbeth is at hand to help and advise (an even transport) you to places of interest, places to eat. There are cheap, friendly pizza places as well as more upmarket eating. Plenty to visit and experience such as Parmesan cheese making, Ferrari, Modena with it's balsamic vinegar as well as the interesting university town of Bologna. But if you just want to get away from it all and read a book and admire the views then book your flight and go!! "

Tasting wine at Monteveglio in Emilia Romagna

Come and visit my friend Antonio. He will guide us around his vineyard. He makes wonderful wine and his wife Marisa serves delicious food

Come with me on a guided tour to Monteveglio, where Antonio produces fantastic wine from grapes he tends with great passion. Proudly he tells the story of his family’s place and we are invited into the “Agriturismo” to be served a four course meal of products grown on his farm and the local area. Along with the fresh, healthy and delicious food he serves some of the best Barbera wine and a truly special red dessert wine called Chine.

You pay for the dinner, but the guide is free !

Look forward to tasting that!

Or you can book a guided tour on "Bologna Welcome"  if you want a day trip.
