Discover the real and authentic Italy. The food in the area is characterized by simplicity and high-quality ingredients. We find ourselves in Emilia Romagna, where they produce Parmesan cheese, Lambrusco wine, Parma ham, Mortadella salami and Aceto Balsamico. This is also the area where the tortellini, tortelloni and sauce bolognaise originated.

Traditional Balsamic vinegar of Modena

“Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena” is a premium brand of balsamic vinegar. The natural temperature fluctuations near Modena, Vignola and Spilamberto makes the perfect conditions for the vinegar. It is carefully aged in barrels made of different kinds of wood for many years. We have contact with a family who are passionate about the balsamico they produce and they happily show and explain the process – and even let us taste a few precious drops.

Italian is well known for its authentic and gourmet dining experiences. We can show you the way to a long line of authentic restaurants in all price ranges for instance: La Staffa, Ca´Cerfogli known for delicious truffle & mushroom (it’s a must!), great pizzas at Il Principe, Amerigo known for exceptional good food and finally we have Osteria Francescana in Modena.

The original Parmesan Cheese is made right here. A fantastic early morning experience is to see how Parmesan cheese is made, right from the beginning. Come and discover how they produce the original, real Parmigiano Reggiano at one of the many small local dairies.

wINE Tasting at Guilia

Visit our local winemaker Terraquilia who makes good organic wines. You can get a guided tour by Francesco who will proudly tell you all about the wine and grapes, he cares for with great passion. The event ends with wine tasting, local cheese and italian sausages. https://terraquilia.it
